Get started

Install Pubto Desktop, publish a localhost demo, verify the public address, and revoke the endpoint when the review is complete.

GUIDE

Get started

Publish a selected target from Pubto Desktop or CLI, confirm that the public address works, and close the endpoint when the review is over. A project is only a group; each demo, API, file, or service is an independent endpoint.

Before you begin

Install the Desktop preview on the computer that can reach the target. Keep a local demo running, or select the file, folder, website directory, WebSocket, or TCP service you intend to publish.

Shortest path

command or instruction
pubto publish --port 3000 --name product-demo --duration 30m

Choose one target

Use HTTP or HTTPS for a demo, web product, or API; WebSocket for WS or WSS; File for one document; Folder for a safe listing; Website for a directory whose index page should run; and TCP for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, SSH, MQTT, or another byte stream.

Set the handoff policy

Give the endpoint a clear name, use automatic official Relay assignment or an approved custom Relay, add a password for sensitive browser content, and use a short expiry. Database, LAN, and public targets require deliberate approval.

Verify and close

Wait for the endpoint to report Running and use the returned address from outside the publishing computer. When the task is complete, stop or delete the endpoint so the old address no longer forwards traffic.

Before you share

  • The selected target is reachable on the publishing computer
  • The public address or TCP connection has been verified
  • Password and expiry match the audience
  • Temporary access is revoked after use

Pubto requires an account before publishing or using business features. Feature availability still depends on the effective Control policy.
